Programme – Yarragon Fashion Festival 2026

The Yarragon Fashion Festival comes to Gippsland for an afternoon celebrating Australian designers, boutique fashion and community. Hosted at the Yarragon Public Hall, the festival brings together runway showcases, fashion talks, giveaways and creative talent, proudly supporting the local community through the Yarragon Lions Club.

Welcome remarks by Emcee Melissa Lewins, followed by a Welcome to Country by Dr Aunty Eilleen Harrison.


Boutique Runway Showcase | 2:15pm

A curated showcase of boutique fashion, introduced by the emcee.

This runway celebrates regional boutiques, pre-loved fashion, formalwear, European-inspired classics and eclectic everyday style.


Fashion Talk: The Fashion Field Magazine | 3:00pm

A special appearance by Julz McBain from The Fashion Field Magazine, sharing insight into the publication and the importance of independent fashion media and the roll it plays in Australian fashion.


Door Prize Giveaway | 3:07pm

A lucky guest will win a gift card and bottle of wine generously donated by The Yarragon Hotel.


Designer Runway Showcase | 3:15pm

The runway shifts to independent Australian designers, showcasing slow fashion, craftsmanship and individuality.

Expect wearable art, demi-couture, ethical production and one-of-a-kind designs.

Following the main designer showcase, the runway continues with special feature collections:

  • Grandma Funk – vibrant, eclectic fashion celebrating individuality
  • Kiddy Funk / Puppy Funk – playful and creative runway moments
  • Malcolm Paull – handcrafted statement coats and signature designs

HOW TO GET HERE

By Car (from Melbourne)

Yarragon is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes east of Melbourne by car.

  • Take the M1 / Princes Freeway towards Gippsland
  • Continue past Warragul and take the Yarragon exit
  • Follow signs into town and turn onto Campbell Street
  • The Public Hall is clearly signposted and easy to spot

Free street parking is available nearby, with additional parking around the town centre.

By Train

Yarragon is serviced by the V/Line Gippsland Line.

  • Trains run regularly from Southern Cross Station
  • Get off at Yarragon Station
  • From the station, it’s an easy 5–7 minute walk to the Public Hall

Exit the station, head toward the town centre, and follow Campbell Street.

By Coach / Regional Transport

V/Line coaches also service the Gippsland region, connecting through nearby towns. Check current timetables and routes via V/Line if travelling from regional Victoria.
