Everyone from Celebrities to Fashion Designers. NGV gives us one amazing night of Glamour and Style

Ask me what is the purpose of fashion is and I will tell you it’s a form of humanly expression. There is no other art form out there, that has such a personal connection to the person who makes it, receives it or wears it. It goes beyond just being a possession. Through all the hands that have designed a particular article of clothing, it’s only when it’s worn does it come alive.
The 2024 NGV gala is not just an event for celebrities, influencers and patrons to get together for a night. It represents and gives light to the people that continue to work and participate in Australia’s fashion industry.
It was also a opportunity to see the work of one of the greatest living artists from Japan: Yayoi Kusama.

But we have to talk about the fashion now. And boy was there fashion!
It’s hard for me to pinpoint my favourite outfit from the night but definitely Montana Cox’s L’idée Gown was one of my favourites!

Now I say “one” of my favourites for a reason. Mainly because there were simply just too many good designs to pick from that was a total standout…. But then again we haven’t discussed Charlenes Ye Davis yet 🙂

2024 marks the Gala’s 8th year since its inception in 2017. You can feel the event becoming an iconic night on the art and fashion calendar in Melbourne. I was particularly honoured to have been given the opportunity to cover the event.
Not only did it provide me with exceptional photo opportunities, but it also allowed me to be a part of something quite iconic.
But that’s enough from me. The most important thing is the photographs from the night, while I won’t explain every photo, I will chip in with some of them. Enjoy 🙂

Hope you enjoyed this little recap of the night!
